Weird problem with Logitech Wheel Mouse :-(

I just bought and installed Logitech Wheel Mouse - nice feeling etc but when I play my usual fix of Counterstrike etc with it - it's bloody awful

When you move the mouse around the screen moves (appears to) in about 3mm jumps - it is especially bad in the diagonal directions.

Is this just a bad mouse? I've never felt anything so horrible before

I do have the latest driver downloaded and installed and the mouse works fine in the normal windows environment but it just does not "feel" quite as "smooth" as it should be.

Any suggestions?

I had the same problem. Look in the advanced options for CS. There is an option for "Smooth Mouse". Turn it on and see if that helps.

Yes using latest mouse drivers in Win ME.
Standard ME drivers are no better or worse than latest Logitec drivers - I've even tried one of those refresh rate prorams and another mouse ball - I have a feeling it's just a poor example of the logitec wheel mouse
