no, just one pair.. each side is rated 4 ohms at the crossover. i have bridged the amp from 4 channel to 2 channel stereo, which is 4 ohms per side.

Then it's just being overdriven and can't handle it. I checked out the specs, not surprised the amp has problems when bridged and pushed to it's limits.

If you follow the wiring diagram in that PDF then you are running at 1/2 ohm bridged, which is overdriving both amplifiers.

the speakers individually may be 4 ohms, but the crossover is built in a way that makes the whole set run at 4.

K, then the whole set runs at 2 ohms bridged. Your 2 amps are pretty close in total wattage output, 200 per channel or 300 per channel. You are at the limit of both with the amp bridged. Get higher wattage amps or unbridge them.

ive done some tweaking. checked all the connections and upped the crossover point on the components, which was at 80 with a 6db slope, now its at 160db with a 24db slope. so there is less low frequencies that the amp needs to produce, allowing the power to be focused on the higher frequencies..

anyways, it takes a good 15-25 minutes to shut the amp down at a listening level that is higher than i should be listening at.. its cool at first to hear it so loud, but it will give you a headache before the amp shuts down, lol... keeping the volume levels moderate, i was able to drive around all last night for at least 4 hours, and the amp never shut down... it was still pretty hot, but it didnt shut down.. but i never turned it up too loud once, which I think doing probably puts the amp over the edge...

what HU do you have?

its an Eclipse cda 8445

it has 8 volt preouts, and ive been keeping that gains at 0 (it has -+6), so im right in the middle.
