Recently I got a new EVGA GTS450 and tried to sell it. Tested it in my PC under Windows and Linux, all fine. But when found the first buyer I got a phone call next day: no video signal (but the PC was working fine, you can hear Windows starting and responds to keyboard). Got my video card back, and again it works fine at home. Found a second buyer, the same story, no video signal but the system boots correctly. For the second time, back to home with the 450 and it runs perfectly stable under Widnows and Linux.
The only difference among the PCs is that I have a better chipset (g43). They both have even better PSUs than mine and LCD displays (I still have an old CRT).
Any idea about whats happening here? I solved my problem selling my old hd5770, but Im worried that in the future when I need a new card, I wouldnt be able to sell this weird 450.
