weird problem on some adobe cs3 programs

some of the programs that i use like soundbooth and encore are causing a weird problem. for some reason once i start it up the windows vista fading and minimizing transitions go away. anybody know what's going on?

It is not compatible with windows vista Aero so Vista is switching display modes which do not have those functions.

but the weird thing is that aerio is turned on, meaning the windows are still transparent. the only thing gone is that there are no fading transitions anymore, and no minimizing animation. it only comes back once i restart the computer.
