I'm having a weird problem with my pc, it tends to freeze for no apparent reason, with monitor goin into standby and 2-4 seconds later, any sound repeating on itself. Do a reset and the pc beeps during post consistent with no vga card. Press reset enuff times and it posts fine. But, when I underclock my system down to 100Mhz FSB, no more problems and funnily enough my cpu runs cooler than the system temp (35C) by about 2-3C. Is my vga card fried? Or is it cpu/ram? I asked a similar problem earlier and someone said that its probably cpu/ram logic error due to the repeating sound.

Btw, mobo sensors record weird voltages, wondering if they are causing the problem but doubt it since underclocking the system seems to solve the problem.

+5V rail: +4.4xx
+3.3V rail: +2.9xx
+12V rail: +12.8xx

Btw, its definitely not OS/software related, same problem occurs in Linux as it does in Windows. So its definitely not driver issue. Any help/input is greatly appreciated.

It looks like your PSU is the problem. First your rails are way off and second "generic" always gives a good clue. See if you can borrow a higher quality PSU from a friend.
If you can't (or need a new one) I would seriously consider a Fortron PSU here at NewEgg.

Well you are over clocking, so it's har dto say it's specifically your PSU... Could be your ram, or any other component that was subject to OC'ing.

Only 300w! I'd say at 350w would be needed, and ideally I'd use at least 400w, 450w or 500w would be better. And by all accounts expensive PSU's are usually worth the price.

Luck

your power rails are way off... I would replace your power supply... Mine always run on spec... my Vcore never varies more than .01v and my 3.3v never varies more than .04v... my 5v never varies more than .38v and my 12v never varies more than .48v

my guess is that your cpu is either being over or undervolted... I would replace the PSU right away...
