weird pop-up in my system tray

a few minutes ago, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a little window appear in the lower right corner of my desktop. It said 'New updates available', and next to this, there was a little picture of like a jigsaw puzzle piece. The message box went away before I could do anything.

Anyone know what this was? What program could this be?

You can check your Windows Update settings from Automatic Updates in the Control Panel.

Tools --> Options -->Advanced -->Under Software Update Section choose "Check Now".

It's not Windows update -- I have automatic updates disabled (hate that crap)

guess it is Firefox, then -- just started using it

jigsaw is firefox extensions update

It was actually a major update...at least for me. Required a close of Firefox...1.1 or something..
