Ok so I needed to reinstall windows. So natrualy i booted from CD and just let it start doing its thing. After reinstall windows..not upgrade...I found something to be rather weird. All of my old folders and files are still there on the hard drive. THey arnt in the start menu or anything, and most are missing files to let them run but in any case they are still there. I really dont feel like reinstalling again...would it be ok just to delete these folders?

thx

You can delete those files. What happened was that you didn't choose to format the drive again and installed Windows XP on top of itself.

Yes, as long as "the thigns i dont need" doesn't include system files that you do need. ;)
