Weird NIC issues in Windows 7

I installed Windows 7 on a test machine here at work and have been using it as my main machine as I troubleshoot any issues it may have with our software when all of a sudden I can't browse the internet or network. I do an ipconfig /all and see that instead of

ourdomain.net

the DNS suffix has changed to

mshome.net

and instead of our DNS server's IP address, it has been changed to 192.168.0.1

This seems to happen pretty randomly and I have no idea why. Every setting on the wireless configuration stays correct, and on wired NIC the only those 2 settings change. Any ideas?

I've noticed that if i do an ipconfig /release, wait, and do an ipconfig /renew it fixes the problem 80% of the time. Also disabling and re-enabling the NIC fixes it 80% as well.

NIC is an Intel 82567LM Gigabit Network card

Sounds like you have a rogue DHCP server someplace.

I would start by looking for people that mysteriously are able to wirelessly connect to the company LAN, and shouldn't be able to....

I guess after thinking about it also, make sure that the connection sharing isn't on. The rogue DHCP server might be that machine itself.
