i just built another system, when i booted it up for the first time everything seemed fine. before i go any further, heres the specs

a64 3200+ newcastle
msi k8n neo platinum
bba 9800 pro
1gb corsair ddr400

(identical to the one im selling, except this one has an issue)

anyways, it gets to the "Platinum" screen where it says "Press <TAB> to switch to POST, or <DEL> to setup bios." Well, no matter what i hit, nothing happens on screen. I tried switching keyboards, but it didnt make a difference. I can press the num lock key and the light will light up, but it wont recognize the command on screen.

any ideas?

Did a Google on your problem, one thing I saw was that someones IDE cable, I think that was the problem that person had :) , well his cable was in backwards and causing a lockup in the BIOS, might want to recheck your connections, make sure the bare minimum is plugged in correctly, video card, memory, etc. Might want to reset the BIOS and pull the battery for 15 minutes or so. Maybe that might kick it in the right spot.

If you have tried multiple keyboards, the only thing that I can say is that the motherboard ps2 port might be bad... that's very unlikely but I don't see what else it could be, unless you are accidentaly plugging the keyboard into the mouse ps2 port...
