Dunno what it is.
If only there were a way for you to run it up the flagpole to the people in charge of ad sales and say "hey... this is annoying... you're pissing off our viewers... and you wonder why they all run adblock"
if only...
:hmm:
Every ad we've reported this year has been fixed. As for the ad in question, I'm still trying to track it down.Funny you should say that. This is exactly why I switched from IE to Firefox (then to Chrome) and use Adblock Plus while browsing. I realize it cuts into the forum revenues, but the ads have gotten too annoying. Some are "mouse-over" ads that blow up to nearly full screen...f*ck that.
The "non-descript" banners weren't so bad...but the ad department has let the ad servers get out of control. Look back through the threads for the past year...there are dozens or more...all bitching about the same thing...yet nothing gets fixed.
Isn't that exactly what we're doing right now?If only there were a way for you to run it up the flagpole to the people in charge of ad sales and say "hey... this is annoying... you're pissing off our viewers... and you wonder why they all run adblock"

What browser are you on, guyver?
Isn't that exactly what we're doing right now?![]()
Ahh Chrome; there always has to be a screwball in the audience.i'm on Chrome.. 14.0.8xxxxx
and yes.. i guess that's what we're doing now. sorry.. the answer i replied to seemed like a "yea.. i see it too... dont know what i can do about it..." reply.
Which means you'll probably have to grab the relevant debug/development tools for Chrome. I'm not sure what native capabilities it has.
The same place we send the moderation bill: /dev/null

Well that's unfortunate, but it's your call. But since we can't reproduce it, it also means we can't send it in to have it fixed.:\
