I just wanted to clarify again where the speed issues are coming from, and it's not FuseTalk. There are some issues with another application whose database resides on the same database server as the forums and the rest of the site. The forum software is running perfectly fine performance-wise, our database server and the application causing the issues is whats causing the slow-downs. This is being looked at, but is taking some time to iron out.

Cheers.

But how does that explain the fact that IE7 is working fine, and FF/Opera arent? I can fly through the forums on IE7, and FF is dog slow, side by side at the same time.

BD2003, that issue is separate, I was referring to the issues that affect all browsers.

SVT, yep the DBA restarted SQL :)

I just surfed around the forums for about 10 minutes using FireFox 2.0.0.4, pages were coming up about as quick as IE? I can't see this issue with FF.

Nothing wrong with latest version of FF here speed wise. In fact I love it, the whole thread loads at once and instantly unlike the old version where you would keep scrolling down as it loaded.

Anyway since you have FF up, take a gander at Derek Wilson's Banned Member thread. It cuts off on the A's into grey blank space, not rendering properly.

nvm it is fixed since he made it paragraphs and not a long list. But it only renders so far for really long threads. I will post an example when I find one.
