Weird Issue....getting Mouse Lag when switching movies (mpegs, avi's)

Everything is cool except when im going through my videos. Every time i would close out a movie and switch to a new movie the computer or mouse would lag. So when i drag the mouse to open the next movie in my folder it would hesistate.

Never was an issue with my old pc. Am i missing something here?
