First off, I'm running an eVGA 6800 with all pipes / vertex unlocked as well as at 392/834. Ever since I threw the clocks up to those frequencies, I've been getting really weird temperature fluctuations.
When sitting here on my desktop, I'm idling at 59C, not a bad temperature in the least. But if I start up say, Counter-Strike 1.6, my temps will quickly drop to around 52C. As soon as I shut off the game, boom, back up to 59C.
When benchmarking using 3dmark05, my temps while benchmarking were around 54C... and then back to 59C at the desktop.
When playing with the CS:S Stress Test, temperatures remained about 58C...
Should this be a concern? They're not bad temperatures at all, but does this mean that the graphics card is working its butt off when just sitting there?
