weird IRC problem

This is really odd. In IRC, on undernet in #neochat since that's the only place I go, there is a single person that I am unable to ping or talk to, when I'm under a certain nick. If I change my nick, I can ping him and he can see me talking, but if I'm on as Evermore, he can't see me talking and I can't get a ping response. I can always see him talking.

He's tried unignoring me, I wasn't on the list in the first place. So he put me on the list and then took me off, still not working. He's reinstalled mIRC in a different directory even, so it can't be anything he's done. I switched servers and he has too, still no go.

The only guess I have at this point is that it's something I did, but I can't imagine how. I'm running XP right now, dual boot with 98. When I installed mIRC in XP, I did it in a new directory and just copied the mirc.ini file over (I changed directories in the config as needed). All I can think of is for some reason that didn't go right, but what went wrong I can't guess. This doesn't happen with ANYONE else as far as I can tell.

Ive never heard of that, unless you are ignored at the server level... But I cant remember the command for that.

I didn't know there was such a thing as being ignored at the server level.

Oddly (this is Adul obviously), I can't use the PM system on his forums either, and I seem to be the only one. Which makes me think something odd is going on and he's decided to try to drive me nuts. But I can still post to the forums so I'm not totally blocked out.

Incidentally, somebody else switched to the evermore nick and tested, and couldn't ping him then either, but could under their own nick.

IRC has a way to ignore someone at the server level. I dont know how many servers allow people to use it or anything, I never ignore anyone. Someone just mentioned it sometime...
