No, people aren't retarded. You have changed the numbers several times in the OP and they were very UNCLEAR. Your most recent was from .0050% to .50% and .0065% to .65%. Why be as ass when you're changing the numbers?

Alright, so even if it WERE 0.0050% or 0.050%, that would STILL not be 5%, the reason why I was changing it was because I thought I had the percent wrong but . I remember checking them thoroughly so when I saw posts saying 5%, I was really confused.

It could be assumed that .050% or .065%, as posted, could indeed be 5.0% or 6.5% if the % sign was accidentially placed onto the number. While those numbers are very high, it is possible that there are money market and other high yield accounts (with usually large minimums in deposits) that yield those types (5.0 and 6.5%) of interest rates. To call someone retarded because of your editing mistakes and/or unclear post is rude!
