I have a mixed home network of ethernet and phoneline, and have a DSL router. Everything was working fine, but I recently had to change the subnet of my home network so that I could use VPN to my network at the office. They were using the same subnet which was keeping VPN from working properly.
Anyway, my configuration looks something like this:
PC1 ==(phoneline)==> DSL Router ==(ethernet)==> ethernet router ==> printserver
||
PC2
[For some reason, I can't get the diagram to work right. PC2 is hanging off of the ethernet router]
Here's what's happening. PC2 can access the internet (and VPN is working) and can also print.
PC1 can see the internet, but can't ping the printserver. This would make you think that there's a problem between the DSL router and the ethernet router, except that PC1 and PC2 can ping each other.
Does anyone have any ideas?
