I have a problem with my Windows 10 Pro 64bit system where best as I can explain the screen change to a lower resolution usually for a short time then goes back to its original resolution.

Another question is why wont my taskbar stay with the same setting as I like a bigger taskbar area?

Posting for comments and feedback TIA!

What taskbar settings are changing?
What video card do you have?
Do you know the lower resolution is?

I had a strange issue last week when Windows 10 auto-updated my video card driver. Go to Programs and Features and see what the date of your video card driver is.

I like my taskbar moved about 4 from default that changes when I have my graphics switching between res

What video card do you have? NVDIA 1080p

Do you know the lower resolution is? No cant seem to get to display properties

Always use experience and latest drivers atm not beta drivers

K. I will say that I asked what video drivers are showing now, not necessarily the ones you installed. As I mentioned, they may be different.

Also, one of my VMs had a habit of rearranging my start menu every time I rebooted it. Since installing KB3216755 (which is a manual install), I haven't had that issue.

So a recent nvidia driver update system got new drivers and for awhile all seemed good then just now got the same graphics problem and where I was on already on my desktop when it happened I took a look at what res I was at from display graphics advanced setting and desktop was using the 1080 res and then it reverted back to my 4k desktop.

This problem has happening even when I am gaming and it still has the same problem changing my taskbar setup.

This PC using 2 4k connections atm 1 is HDMI 1 DP connected to my NVIDIA 1080p not using using one on motherboard as I that seems have problems with my PC.

Both connections going to my 2 HDTV the HDMI going to my 65" Vizio and DP going to my Samsung 40' HDTV s.

This setup new as I added Samsung in Dec.

Before I was using 2 Vizio HDTV so that setup was using 39" NVIDIA 1080p Vizio HDTV instead of the Samsung 4k.

Pretty sure there was any problem with my original setup and I dont think there was a problem when it was first hooked up but the dont happen often enough to troubleshoot the problem.

The only reason that I'm mentioning that, is that I've seen "funky things" happen, when not using a VESA-compliant (Search for "Accel DisplayPort VESA" on Amazon) cable.

DP was a problem getting it to 4k which was fixed using this to my 4k compliant HDMI cable

I dont want to jinx myself but the last time I had problem was 2 days ago and saw that my NVIDIA Experience was not installed just the driver as it had been installed
so I d/l that and reinstalled and problem not happened again so lets see if it sticks which means it was causing my problem.

Everything is good atm and I can only guess it was a bad nvidia driver or their geforce experience program.

I knew I jinxed myself saying problem is gone its back but not sure if this was happening before I get some wave going off when it happens and its still messing with my taskbar when it done.
There is nothing showing when I checked the event viewer either.

my newest test is removing the apps that were installed with my gigabyte mb 2 days ago and not had problem since that was done.

the problems seem to remain tho the last time was a couple days ago and when that happened while I was on my desktop I when to the advanced display settings to see the setting which was a 1080p setting and I was able to set to to the recommended 4k setting I set that and waiting to see if and when it happens again.

This is my completely new system with 40in Samsung 4 monitor the line skylake mb and 1080p monitor also connected to the graphics card one via HDMI and the other is connected using Displayport.
The system also has let me reboot for that error no way to save a draft but will continue later

So here is the problem I had since the I build this system back in Dec 2016

USB Device Not Recognized
Unknown USB device in compliance
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported a problem ( code 45)

I have a link of a thread I started awhile back at the support site which has not found why this problem is occurring which hopefully I with hook up with my motherboard and video card manufacture this week
or next week to discuss both problems.

I have done all the testing already with removing devices and uninstalling USB driver and same with making sure all the drivers from the system are installed properly for the motherboard here is that thread link
http://forum.gigabyte.us/thread/434/unknown-device-link-compliance-mode

I am hoping that the motherboard which I suspect is faulty is not faulty as that is a pita board to replace which is part of the reason I not called tech support plus I leave my device running pretty much 7-24 and the only time I am reminded of the problem is when I reboot my system and see the message.
I never having any problems with using my USB devices and I have a lot of them connects to my system.
I have USB 2.0 hub with 7 devices and just bought this USB 3.0 hub

Also I just saw the Displayport adapter that could be part of my graphics problem and here is that link

I had to take my system apart as I forgot I had already taken photos on my motherboard and graphics card from Gigabyte to have the info to start a tech support phone call.

When I put the system back together I connected just the Samsung 4k 40" HDTV to the HDMI connection removing the displayport adapter and not connecting my Vizio 4k HDTV as well to eliminate any other things that I did not want to troubleshoot for the problem with the tech.

I have not here I go jinxing my self again had any display problems and atm I booted the system with no problem the code 45 is not even kicking in which has been a problem since I built the system in Dec.

I suspect that the DP adapter connector is the problem now and had just got email about it asking how I was doing with the cable I will talk to him about the problem

I found the link to the DP adapter dont know this would be my USB problem I will have to research if all of these devices are some kind serial devices anyone know?

It took awhile to finally fix my problems it turns out the DP adapter was only causing the changing res on it own problem which I fixed by just using a DP to HDMI cable.

The USB Code 45 which I saw was gone when I disconnected my USB 3 hub and then after testing those device by disconnect connecting each device the problem was being caused by my wireless bluetooth headphone it didnt like me plugging it directly into my HUB so I just moved that to my USB charging station.

I bought the headphones same time as the rest of my new PC and HDTV and thought I already testing all my USB devices before but I guess not.
