Weird fund performance (financial)

I'm puzzled. Take a look at this fund's performance last Thursday:

cgmfx

The value went from 50.84 to 45.72, a decline of 5.12, which according to the math I know works out to a 10.1% decrease.

However, Google Finance (and others) report a decline of 0.87, which is a 1.90% decrease.

What gives?

The fund dropped by -8.36% on Wednesday.
The fund dropped by -1.87% on Thursday.

50.84 >>>>>>>>>>> 46.59 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 45.72
Tuesday's close >>> Wednesday's close >>> Thursday's close

Thanks for your valuable contribution.

I wonder why Google doesn't have results for Wednesday on its chart.

Do yourself a favor and stop using Google Finance.

1. Most likely - the fund is having a dividend. There was one on 12/27 and so this one will either get you money back or additional shares at the new price.
2. The fund has a 1.2% expense ratio. They could have taken out the expenses which is reflected in the price.
