weird freezing issue

A few times a day I'm experiencing random system freezes. Basically, the keyboard/mouse stop working and the whole screen starts going crazy and fuzzy. Maybe once or twice a day. Sometimes a BSOD will happen right beforehand and then the BSOD will start going crazy and fuzzy. What could be causing this?

Generally: Heat, voltage, bad drivers, or bad hardware.

You can use Speedfan to log temperatures and voltages. Check the logs after a freeze.

You also can check the windows system event viewer to see if it's logging any problems during a freeze.

And you could check out your memory with memtest, and your harddrive with chkdsk.

Aside from all that, your left with a defective motherboard, CPU, or GPU.

Never trust software voltage reading. They are never right.

Chances are this is a driver issue. Try updating the video drivers first.
