Hello all, I'm a bit of an OCer so I have a fair bit of knowledge about computers but, here's my problem none-the-less.
I built this computer a few months ago with an ASRock 939 Dual-Sata2 motherboard and have run most of that time with the floppy drive disabled, even though it had one installed.
The original floppy drive that I had in it though for some reason would not work. I figured it was the drive that was bad so I ordered a new one off newegg for a pricey $8.99 and proceeded to install it with a new (rounded) floppy cable and a new power connector from a new PSU that I ordered at the same time (Antec NeoPower HE 550w if it matters).
I have tried using the floppy disk media in my laptop and it works just fine, so that's not it either. The power light does come on on the drive so that is also not an issue.
I also tried reflashing my BIOS with the windows flash utility so not only am I running the freshest BIOS, but I'm also at completely stock BIOS settings (excluding the boot drive, I have to set it to my raptor to load windows up)
If I double click on the drive with no disk in it, I get the message "Please insert a disk into drive A:." I can definately hear the drive functioning.
When I attempt to open the drive in my computer, I get the following error message:

I hope the link worked 😉
I tried updating both my floppy controller and floppy drive, couldn't find better drivers for either...
Any help or suggestions would be great!
Thanks
