Weird Fish

I was in Coney Island yesterday morning for a picture scavenger hunt with a bunch of friends. We were on the fishing pier when this guy caught this weird looking fish. The eyes and mouth bugged me out so I took a pic.

Anyone know what it is?

That is a stingray, they can get to be 1000 pounds (this variety).
There are tons of different ones out there, this type (brown on top like that) is usually caught and then they use a cookie cutter to make "scallops" out of them.

Dip their meat in a little milk for about 20 minutes and they taste just like a fresh batch of scallops...allot of restauraunts use them as kncok offs.

Well, it was cought off the Coney Island fishing pier in Brooklyn, NY. I always associated stingrays with warmer weather...

There's the reason it looks weird. You're talking about water that gets trash and god-knows-what-else dumped in there... could be a biologically malformed starfish for all you know. 😉

Yes, I'm kidding... I just like to make fun of NYC's boroughs.
