Weird Firefox Problem

whenever i click anywhere on a page in firefox and its not a hyperlink a blinking type cursor appears (" l "). I can't type in that area, but its rather bothersome when im trying to scroll down with the down arrow, it acts as if its scrolling through editable text. Anyone know a fix to this or have ever seen this problem?
 
I think you accidentally turned on caret browsing..
On mozilla, it's done by pressing F7. Not sure about firefox, though.
If F7 doesn't work, try about:config and search for accessibility.browsewithcaret and set to false.
 
i just pressed F7 in firefox 1.0.2 and it DID ask wheater or not i wanted to turn on caret browsing, so it would be pretty hard to accidentally turn it on
 
well since this isn't my normal computer i let lots of poeple use it. anyway it was caret browsing and hitting f7 did fix it. thanks 🙂
