What would Nixon have to lose if Watergate had gone wrong.

Oh, wait, oops.

Completely different set of circumstances. In Nixons case he wanted inside information on what the democrats are doing. In this case some would have you believe Bush is colaborating with the enemy to send the msg of STFU. They arent even comparable.

I'm not saying that I believe Bush is in on this, but I am saying that people in positions of power do things that defy common sense.

Well lets try to use a little in the future and then we wont have to debate such a silly topic.

Is it common sense to believe our leaders won't do outlandish things to achieve political ends?

You know the USA is above that. ;)

BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Sheep really are so easily led.

What *is* interesting is what FOX News was just reporting that somehow, Moussaoui had obtained Berg's email address at some point.

That does make one go hmmmmmm....

So Conjur, you thought it would be a joke to spread that sort of BS.

That does not raise my opinion of you in the slightest.

Waaaah

Waaaah

Waaaah

Look at the title of this thread. *Nothing* in here should be taken seriously.

some people out there either can't handle reality, or it just bores them because it's too plain. and then of course some have actual mental problems. that's why these weird conspiracy theories exist. ghost stories, vampires, aliens, monsters, esp, pyschics, time travelers,... god (and boy are there lots of them, wonder why), etc.

see if he was just walking down the street and got picked up, brought to some shack and had his head chopped off, that would too boring. we don't want that, no. that's impossible.

I think people enjoy the good conspiracy theory. But you have to ask yourself. Just what in the world would Bush gain by having an Americans head chopped off? More importantly what would he have to lose if it was found out Bush was helping the terrorists kill Americans?

The dots for a conspiracy can always be dotted because people go out of their way to do so. But just think for a minute just what would entail such an action and what gains do the people behind the conspiracy theory have to gain?

What would Nixon have to lose if Watergate had gone wrong.

Nixon wasnt involved in Watergate, he was involved in the coverup of Watergate. By all accounts, a high level member of his admin did it without his knowledge, trying to coverup his own political problems(his slut wife). Theres never been proof Nixon conspired in the burglary of Watergate, he conspired to cover it up. What Nixon did was common practice by most admins up until his. The presidents before Nixon got away with alot of stuff, most more serious than watergate/cover up of watergate.
