Weird connection Problem [XP:Home]

Ok, Problem is when i have my winXP on for a long period of time eventually I cant browse webpages. here is the strange part, my other machine which is a Win2000 Pro can still access the internet (ADSL with a LinkSys Router). I dont know what causes it but i notice it abnormally when im using outlook or FTP Program. Any connections that are already open I can still use. ex. ICQ and MSN open, i can talk to ppl that I have windows open for. I open another window to talk to someone else and it wont go. I cant figureout if the router is causing it or if the computer is. Anyone hear about this problem before?

Note: Once I restart all is fine.

switch ports with your 2000 machine see if that problem switches (your 2000 machine should now have the problem) Also make sure the cable is not the problem by switching them as well, trial and error style. If the problem does switch then you just have a bad port. If it still happens you've isolated it to your computer.

Once here I'd uninstall your NIC card drivers then reinstall them, maybe find some updated ones.

well its not the ports or the cables because i have already tested that. im thinking it could have been some spyware because i ran adware and it found like 13 files/folders and ive gotten ride of them and it hasnt done it yet (knock on wood). Its been on since my last post and hasnt fudged up yet. Hopefully the problem is f***ing spyware and not any hardware problems. Ill see, if it doesnt do it within the next 2 days i know its fixed.

Thnx,
