Weird Computer Freezing Problem -- please help!!!

Can someone please tell me why when there's a lot of animation (simple and/or Flash animation) on my screen, my monitor looks like it blurrs everything having just a weird display of colors and results in a frozen system. I just upgraded to Win 2k sp1, but had the same problem under win 98 se, so I'm GUESSING it's a hardware issue.

- Is my video card overheating? (How do I check?)
- Is my monitor driver messed up or something (I'm using a default one that it installed automatically)

Any help is greatly appreciated as this is making no sense to me :frown:
 
did you do a fresh install or just upgrade? I would try a fresh install with the whole bag of chips. Fdisk, format, install.
