Weird CD-ROM Problem Windows XP

I have a weird problem with my XP Pro system.

Just now, in order to get a CD to eject, I have to disable the drive in Device Manager.

Otherwise the disc will not eject via the hardware button or the Windows command.

Any ideas?

I've got some DVD copy software that does that when I activate it sometimes - InterVideo or something like that.

This or a CD/DVD emulator may cause the problem.

I'd also check how you have it defined in Device Manager - PIO/DMA etc.

Sounds like some kind of format issue.

That or it's the program for that type format causing the issue - kinda like what I experience with my InterVideo program.
