Weird bootup

Whenever I turn on my computer by pressing the power button, the computer would start. But then after 1-2 seconds it would shut off, and 2-3 seconds later it'll turn on by itself again. It does not really bother me since I only turn on my computer once a day, but I just wonder why it happens. I'm using P8P67 Pro board with i5 2500k if that helps.

Check your BIOS and power management settings. It's entirely possible that the power switch is not set to turn the computer off, but rather to reboot.
What operating system?

Windows 7 Professional. I'll check it out.

edit: I went through the BIOS and didn't find anything that could allow me to set rather to turn it off or reboot.

Anyone else want to take a jab at it? Why it could happen? Could it be the new series of board that causes this?

I have the same board and CPU, and mine does this also. Do you notice when it is doing this the MEM_LED at the top right corner of the board stays red, or blinks red?

Mine will do this sometimes and then reboot itself and say overclocking failed, so chances are it is memory settings, try setting timings manually to their default and set the voltage manually to 1.5 (low volt 1155 ram), or 1.6 for normal RAM. Also, check the RAM speed, is it AUTO or set to a speed, if AUTO, set it, if it is set, change it to AUTO.

I'll look into the red light on the motherboard.

Does that mean you fixed it by manually setting timings on the RAM? I already changed the speed to 1333 from auto and put 1.5 voltage on it. The timings are set as it says on the product, but it still occurs.
