I just bought this card and I ran all of the recommended video test such as 3dmark 2k1 and 2k3 and I received no problems. But all of a sudden, out of the blue, I will get a random video problem. Example 1: The monitor will go blank and say, "out of range". Example 2: Screen will turn completely red. Example 3: Monitor will just go blank. And finally Example 4: The screen will turn into a jumble puzzle with everything scrambled and the computer will restart. A reboot of the system fixes the problem but I would like to know what is causing this. I have a amd 3400+ system with only 1 hard drive and 1 dvd burner. I have a antec 350 blue smart power supply. I am going to try out a antec true 380 to see if that helps.

Thanks in advance for any response.

I don't think your cable is plugged in all the way on your video card, try turning the screws for a tighter lock

I have the same card and I am having a similar problem. I am running WindowsXP and did a reload just to clean everything up. When my PC boots up, I get the first display that shows my memory etc. then when it goes to Windows, I usually get a blank screen. If I reset my monitor (power off/on) the display come back fine. I am assuming that my monitor is not changing its refresh setting, but it didn't do it with the previous video card. Rico, try resetting your monitor without rebooting and see if yours cleans up. Let me know. Anyone else have any suggestions?

I tried that also, didn't help. I looked at the cable and it is screwed in all the way. It hasn't messed up yet, but I am going to get a antec 430 in a few minutes just to make sure. Again, thanks for the responses.

Get rid of that card fast! I had this same problems with the "out of range/frequency" with my 9500 Pro and that sucker destroyed two montiors. Good luck!

Its true! Had both monitors at 1024x768 at 100Hz which is what the monitor *can* do and that 9500 Pro screwed them up.
