I'm looking to get a bench/bar/weights, but can't find anything used real local, but I've found one a bit away. Guy's asking $150 (could probably talk him down). It would come with:

A straight bar (45lb) with spring type collar locks
A curl bar (45lb)
one full set of plates
45lb plates (2)
35lb plates (2)
25lb plates (2)
10lb plates (2)
5lb plates (4)
2.4lb plates (2)

Also extra weights: painted grey

45lb plates (2)
35lb plate (1)
25lb plate (1)
10lb plates (2)
5lb plates (4)
2.5lb plates (2)

In my room now :p

The bench looks pretty flimsy to me. The Barbells and plates are fine, but I personally wouldnt trust that bench.

looks like a nice deal. I'd make sure the padding is still comfortable and if you're interested in the leg stuff make sure its comfortable to do and that the rotation fits you.

Anything less than $1.00/ lb. brand new is good. That looks like a very nice set assuming your gonna use it.

great price for that amount of weights!!!, do it!!. But as mentioned you might want to look into getting a new bench in the near future. If you are benching heavy weights you don't want the bench giving out on you and having 200+ pounds of metal come crashing down on top of you.

That is definitely a good place to start. You should then look into a power rack, pullup bar, dip bars, and possibly dumbels.

No. The weights are not an Olympic set. They are not rubber rounded or made of it. They are also too small. The bar doesn't look like an Olympic one either. They are also 20kg exactly and built to last.

No one probably does actual weightlifting. :D

btw good buy. Nice price.

You can squat on it fine. You probably can't squat lots at the moment anyway. Stick it on the bench press hooks and take them off it and squat. When it gets heavy you can probably still do the same :D

I beg to differ. I don't know what the"olympic" desigantion is the UK is, but here is Ametica it's the size of the hole in the weight plates (2") and the size of the bars where the weights go. That set is absolutely an olympic sized set. No, it's not rubber coated "bumper plates" but that isn't the criteria here for "olympic" sized weight plates and bars.

The bar on the bench looks like a standard 45 lb olympic bar.

Now, the curl bar and dumbells in pic #1 are NOT olympic sized plates or bars. But the bench bar and weights, the leg curl attachment, and the shorter bar behind the bench are, without a doubt, olympic sized.

Maybe the confusion here is that there are two different size standards in the picture?

\\Sorry, I just re-read the 1st post.

is that bar 45 pounds? Ours at school are, but your bar seems long and bigger so whats the bar weight.

All we need need is some before/after pictures of you.

The bar is 45lbs, 7' 2" long. All of the bars and weights I got are 2", the other weights in the original pictures weren't with it. Here is another pic: Bars
