I've heard no research involved with Wu-Yi tea, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did have an effect on fat oxidation, just like green tea has been shown to aid in fat loss.. The key to lose weight is all about being in a calorie deficit though. It may help with fat mobilization, but if the deficit isn't there, you're not going to lose weight. Fortunately, the site you linked to pretty much says the same thing...

Wu-Yi tea is the one of the most powerful over-the-counter weight loss formulations available to the public but is NOT a "miracle pill". If you are serious about losing weight then you must follow our specifically designed weight loss system to achieve maximum results. Common sense should prevail when you hear claims of weight loss products that promise results without any effort whatsoever.

There are a few hot women on that website. They didn't get that way drinking tea. Even the website says that the tea didn't make anyone lose weight if you can find the the fine print.

Dear Struggling Dieter,

If you?ve tried diet after diet after diet after diet and still been unable to lose weight, it?s probably NOT YOUR FAULT.
There it is, the hook. Absolve yourself of culpability in your physical condition, or rather lack there of, and try my " 2 cups of tea per day and proven weight loss system- faster weight loss in on easy-to-use system"

Of course he is making the same claims as all those other diet systems, that didn't work for his intended consumer demographic, made.

It may reduce fat, It May Fight the Effects of Ageing
Which of course, also implies it may not.

Results not typical. All individuals used Wu-Yi Tea and followed the Wu-Yi System to maintain proper diet and exercise. Individuals have been remunerated.
And there it is, the disclaimer. People were paid for their testimonials and expert opinions, and they followed proper diet and exercise. What the hell do you need the tea for, if you do that, again?

Oh nearly forgot to add "Ancient Chinese secret Huh?" :D
