Well, granted that I'm looking to build my new computer by next week I'm getting pretty desperate on getting my hands on a Core 2 Duo processor. And right now I pretty much have two options, I can buy a Retail e6400 or a OEM e6600 for $359.99 and buy a $32 HSF. I would really like to hear peoples opinions on what I should do, if I decided to go with the E6400 though I'm also thinking about overclocking it, which brings me to my next question...Is the 4mb cache even going to be noticeable if I got the E6600. If someone could just give my some input on what I should possibly do I would really appreciate it.

If you can get an OEM e6600 for that price, I'd do it. Otherwise, you could do what I did. I built my system last week using a Celeron D 351 as a placeholder until I can actually get a 6600 (for a reasonable price). I may have to wait a couple of weeks. In the meantime, the Celeron isn't too awful, but I also have a Pentium D 840 that I'm using as my everyday PC.
