Weekend model shoot

I like the fog! But you seem to have used too much fill flash in that first shot? How you get such brilliant light in such lowsy conditions? Strobes? F1.2 lens?

Yah, strobe. I cranked em up on the 1st 2 shots (they're standalones from the rest of the series). The other shots were taken between f/2 and f/4, was shooting fairly open with slow shutter.

Visatec Litepac (review)

It's good stuff, but it's no longer available in the US. I don't know what the hell Broncolor is thinking, trying to fix sales by pulling products off the shelf.

Given what's currently available, I'd go for a Hensel Porty or Profoto AcuteB (good deal going on) if you're looking into a battery powered strobe setup.
 
I don't think I'm pro enough to use something like that.
Is there a portable flash with maybe a softbox adapter that can provide similar results? Maybe with a little photoshop.

you could but it wouldent be easy

and those things arnt that hard to use, harder to carry IMO
