Got a smokin' deal on a hotel room for next weekend, and St. Augustine is only a 3.5-4hr drive.

Checking in Friday night - what's cool there?

Thanks!

visit my fort. stay and watch cannon fire. bitch is LOUD.
visit ripleys believe it or not
go to the beach
walk around and enjoy hanging with the elderly

the fort is about the biggest thing. There is college there my g/f at the time went too, but you can't get on campus without being a guest (at least then).

Other than that is just really a relaxing place...not much of a nitelife, but like anywhere there is sure to be a hotspot.

Visit your fort? what the heck is that?

There is a large fort near the main part of town.

St. Augustine is my favorite place to go to. I may be in my twenties but I like the peace and quiet that the town have to offer. Nothing like going to Panama City and it taking 5 hours to get any where because of all the damn idiots there.

Only thing that they worry about in St. Augustine is running out of ensure or depends.

Last time I was there, surf was chest to overhead and fun as hell. The old jail is a creepy place, and the powder room? in the old fort is definitely not for the claustrophobic.

If you get a chance, hit up the Sunset Grille for killer coconut shrimp and burgers. There's a few outlet malls nearby that you could checkout, if you like golf the world golf village would be a good stop.

And as Dapunisher mentioned if you like to surf St. Augustine is a top place in Northeast Florida to do just that. Be advised that we have been getting torrential rain over the last few days, weather doesn't look good for the weekend either.
