Week 48 3200+

How do you specify which week you want? Or do you? I'm guessing that newegg, monarch, et al have a high inventory turnover for these procs since they're in such high demand.

I have screenshots that Ive posted on xtreme systems but I dont know how to do it here. You can get the code by looking at the top of the chip.

i think it would be a good idea to know the code BEFORE you buy it, not by looking at the top when you get it...

there is no way to know the code before you buy it, is there? is there a way to tell w/o taking it out of my system and re-applying AS5?
thanks,
nick

all have to do is look at the chip..if you go into a store..look at oem chips is very easy..retail box the cpu is sitting a window and you read the code off the chip

also always remember an o/c is YMMV ...I was told to expect later chips to o/c well...well my 3200 A64 0444 XPHW..week 44...and like many maxes out at 2550...this Prime95 stable for 10hrs when I stopped Prime95

Apparently the bit after the year/week - SPAW, UPMW, XPHW also makes a difference.

From what other people have said, the earlier the letter the better, ie. R > S > T > U > V > W > X ...

That is what I am talking about!!!

Just a few more weeks of seeing more consistent week 48's or better and maybe I will try another one out...

If you can get 2.7ghz at stock then there is a good chance 2.85-2.9ghz can be had with 1.6v or less...NICE!!!

Anyway to tell if any of these chips are the newer SS/SOI chips???

So where'd you buy this?

I just hit up a few of my local shops for 3000+ and one had a week43 and another a week47. I was looking for a week48. I'll try again in a couple of weeks.

i have a week 50 3200+ which i am going to test out today 🙂

if it can do 2.7 ghz i'd be happy (on air)

would be ecstatic if could hit 2.9 with water 🙂

I've got a AMD 3200+ Winchester 0451CPBW. Will run on Chaintech VNF4 with 1 gig of OCZ PC3700 Plat (TCCD but higher speed bin than the 3200 Rev 2 Plat!). I'll update you guys when I'm done with it.

wait for the E0 revision Duive ( I take it thats the one with the new and improved SS "AMD/IBM breakthrough" which allows for much higher clock speeds 3 Ghz easy !

Since I've got a CPBW mine must be infinitely better than the rest of yours! LOL! I truly doubt that...

not only the first but supposedly the third letter..a>b>c etc...

so that cpbw looks very good

It's a week 51 as well! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'll let you guys know, like i said. Personally, I'm not going to truly believe this "steppings" stuff until I see some more evidence, but... maybe we'll have that soon enough. Hopefully my stock AMD HSF and Chaintech VNF4 won't hold me back, since I bought $300 ram (OCZ's second best and even better than 3200 Plat Rev 2!).

Uhh, so what stability tests have you run?

Yah... this guy didn't give us very much information. I'd like to know the specifics about his water cooling set up as well.
