dude...am i the only one that thinks bama is overrated?

this is the team that scored a whopping 6 points against a mediocre tennessee team, and their offense could not even manage one lousy touchdown against mississippi state

granted the bama defense is good...but against usc or texas, if their offense can't score, their defense is going to get super tired if they are on the field 75% of the time

Then you woke up from your dreamworld and went to work. 😉

ND is 7th in the people polls, and colorado is 21.5. yeah, that's rated about the same. ND goes up the polls far too quickly. they're not better than georgia, they're not better than VT, they're not better than oregon, they're not better than ohio state. and yet they're ranked above all those teams. golden domer fanboism is evident in the people polls, even moreso than nvidia fanboism is evident in the video forum.
Um, this is a BCS thread. ND is #11 and Colorado is #18. That is fairly close out of 119 teams!

Or look at it this way:
[*]ND is #7 in human polls, #18 in computer polls. Average = (7 + 18) / 2 = 12.5.
[*]CO is #21.5 in human polls, #11 in computer polls. Average = (21.5 + 11) / 2 = 16.25.
[*]12.5 vs 16.25 is still quite close out of 119 teams.

Now for the rest of your post:
[*]Georgia is #9, ND is #11 - yet you claim ND is ranked higher.
[*]VT is #6, ND is #11 - yet you claim ND is ranked higher.
[*]Oregon is #10, ND is #11 - yet you claim ND is ranked higher.
[*]Ohio St is #8, ND is #11 - yet you claim ND is ranked higher.

By the way, I hate ND and hope they lose every game.
you're not looking at the harris and usa today polls, eh?

i do think the computers have it more right than the people do. and i'm bitching about the people. which you could obviously tell from my post.

i think alabama will get beat by either LSU or auburn, maybe both. they've been really hampered by losing prothro.

USC and texas don't have the depth that other teams have i dont think...and that would be their undoing in the playoff format.

while i can't speak for usc, texas proved it had great depth during the game against texas tech when they were alternating defense players/positions nearly every play. not to mention we have 5 running backs in our backfield that any other team would love to have. but i'm just biased.

the only thing that makes bama overrated is the loss of their receiver in the 4th quarter of the florida game (when he shouldn't have even been in the game). nevertheless, they have a solid defense and brody croyle is still a good quarterback. while i think they will probably lose to LSU, calling an undefeated team overrated when they are the lowest-ranked undefeated team is a little much.

Then this post doesn't belong in a BCS thread. 😉 Of course, the BCS computers have their own major problems too. The best solution is a diverse combination of all the biased/flawed methods so that no one method's problems are significant.

ND is overrated. colorado is underrated.
Why is that? Both are rated about the same with 2 losses each. Yet ND has beaten a quality team, and its two losses were very narrow losses (one a narrow loss to the #1 team in the nation). Colorado hasn't beat anyone yet, and its two losses were being blown away. The best team that Colorado beat has 5 wins and 4 losses. Woopty-doo.

ND played USC MUCH closer than Oregon did. Not even a comparison. Maybe if you only look at the first half of the USC/Oregon game, but every game i've ever seen has two halfs.

Bama never wins via Offense, they have always dominated on Defense when they have won.

The loss of Prothro and now the center is going to hurt Bama to say the least.

I personally forsee Bama losing to either LSU or Auburn (please not Auburn).

Schedule from here out to remain undefeated is a bear. LSU, Auburn, and either Georgia or Florida. Tough to say the least, especially when you are banged up.

I also feel that Miami should be ahead of us in the BCS, but $hit happens and Bama is currently undefeated where Miami is not.

I don't know how losing one of those 3 will affect us in the BCS, but it does not matter really.

Bama has started to come back to the national cfb scene and I hope they are back to stay.

ROLL TIDE!

losing one of them won't matter too much if you come back and win the sec title game and get the automatic berth.

True, but there is something satisfying about being undefeated and finishing in the top 5 🙂
