At least this year strength of schedule isn't overweighted. In previous years SOS was in the polls, in the computer programs, and then in addition had a horribly failed formula component.Originally posted by: freesia39
and Cal needs to get it's act together so it helps our strength of schedule (same with SC)
If TT ever had a defense the last few years, then they'd be by far the #1 team. Probably the #1 team in history. Imagine how many points they'd score if they had the ball more often (which a good defense would cause). However, as it is, TT can easilly put up 50 points and still lose the game. Texas will win convincingly, but it'll be a close game until the 4th quarter.Originally posted by: jammur21
Damn you Texas Tech. Play some real teams.
I can't wait for Texas to tear you guys a new one.

Texas's win over Colorado helped a lot. They were 7th in the computers last week and 2nd this week.

I disagree. They've played many good teams over the years and scored 30+ points. They've even put up 48 or 49 points against decent teams and lost. If they had a defense, then their offense would have the ball a lot more often. When they play cream puffs, they don't need a defense and their offense gets the ball a lot. But as soon as they play really good teams, their defense sucks so badly that the the opponent always has the ball. When your opponent has the ball, you don't score so much and your stats fall.Originally posted by: Mookow
I think TT gets overrated because they build huge passing stats on cream puff teams. They'd have much lower stats if they regularly played good teams in their non-conference schedule.
