Bandwidth would be my guess. I believe they have hundreds of millions of videos and hundreds of millions are watched every day. Now that's got to eat a SHIT load of bandwidth. Until recently they could handle it but now with the push to HQ videos and now even 1080p video the bandwidth requirement bust be ridiculous!!
