I'll admit, they had me fooled at the beginning. I thought for sure this was going to be another time travel episode.

What I'm wondering is, why didn't Degra's crew put up more of a fight? Why were they flying alone?

Yeah, I was hoping not another time travel episode--I'm so sick of that. But the whole season is a time travel season--unless you think that 7million people on earth did get killed in the star trek storyline / universe.

Anyway, looks like it's getting canned at the end of the season--tune in and watch the (safe for tv) bewbies next week, looks like they're pulling out the bigguns to bring in viewers now.

FYI, Can't really reveal the plot without giving away the spoiler... so I'll not post it.

What a damn shame, they should have canned Bergman or whatever his name is after he ruined Startrek Voyager.

West coaster, had it downloaded yesterday, just watched it (about to come on the tube in 10 minutes too heh).

Really good episode.

Non-spoiler synopsis:

Enterprise captures some xindi guys, wipes the memories of their leader and puts him in a shuttle with Archer. Says they were prisioners together and tries to get info from him.

Nothing in the star trek storyline would suggest that it didn't happen. The only canon evidence we have is the Romulan - Earth wars are due to begin in a few years from Enterprise's date now, and the Federation will be born shortly after the end of that war. The whole Xindi experience will probably blow over soon with Earth building up a ton of new ships and accelerated weapons development, with a paranoid vision about other species. As a result, Earth won't tolerate the militant attitude of the Romulans and hence why we have a war beginning with them. I would suggest that without the Xindi threat, Earth would have lost to the Romulans when it came to blows either by making concessions in space travel or being outright conquered. From canon evidence, we know this war will be huge with massive loss of lives on both sides, the biggest intergallactic war up until the Dominion event. Pre-Xindi experience, there is no way peace-loving Earth would have been prepared for such a conflict. The Xindi therefore gave Earth a dose of cold water to wake them up. It all seems plausible to me.

Maybe I've missed it this season, but do we have any idea why the Xindi feel so threatened by humanity?

I gave this series a few episodes in the first and second season, I have not been impressed yet. By this time in the other series' the characters and story had begun to get very good. Is that happening in Enterprise yet or is it still bad? Have they gotten rid of that horrible intro music yet?

because of the "temporal cold war". people from the future told them earth would eventually destroy the xindi. it has been made very clear in past seasons. in fact part(s) of the weapon is from the future.

anyway i liked the episode. the end made me laugh.

The last part of the 2nd season and all of this 3rd season are really good.

if you like crap

I'm a huge sci fi fan and loved trek before voyager. I've watched every episode so far and yes thier are a few gems but mostly its just regurgitated plots from prevous series.

I'm going to watch stargate

You loved the first 3 seasons of DS9? That was easily the low point of the Star Trek continuum. It was even worse than when that Leonard Nimoy dancing video surfaced.
