Wedding songs?

My mom is wanting me to sing at her wedding. Do any of you have any ideas of a good wedding song? I have a lower voice (alto) so it can't be really high. My mom doesn't know yet what she wants and we're going to go later to look for music so I was just wanting some suggestions.

Thanks.

Oh yeah.....could you just see me singing that? LOL!!

Keep the ideas coming though. I need some!! lol

maybe Wind beneath my Wings...seems to be a popular fav.

that one Butterfly Kisses song...i don't know who it's by or what it is but i remember a lot of wedding people asking me for it when i worked at a record store. go to a media store (best buy, media play, sam goody) and look for a wedding album...that would give you some ideas...i know at the store i worked at we carried tons of them (compilations)

I think you'd be safe with anything from the "Gangsta Rap" genre.

You could always do Wind Beneath my Wings...sure everyone else does, but the number of quality, singable love/emotional songs isn't that big.

"Face Down, @ss up, that's the way we like to f***" - 2 Live Crew

Really, any 2 Live Crew song would fit the occasion.

For my uncles wedding, he got two people to sing a song from Phantom of the Opera "Say You'll Love Me" . It was beautiful. I think you could bring it down to your voice range.

Personally, i like more classic songs .... try one by Etta James called "At Last" . it's really sexy, but wonderful.

Richard Marx - Endless Summer Nights.
Barbara Streisand & Brian Adams - The Mirror Has Two Faces - I Finally Found Someone (artist/album/song) --> this one was played at Jenni's Wedding. (Duet)

Barbara Streisand - The Mirror Has Two Faces - The Apology-Nessun Dorma (and so was this before the song above)

Vanassa Williams - Save The Best For Last

Peter Cetera - Next Time I Fall in Love (duet)

Richard Marx - I'll Be Right Here Waiting for You

I got more.. just not enough time to wade thru my huge "soft songs and romantic songs" folder.

Ah...that would be nice

Wow. Thank you everyone for your help. I'm still waiting for my mom to get here so we can go. I wrote a lot of these down and I'll see what they have available. More than likely I'll have to get a tape to sing with, so we'll see what they have.

I really appreciate all your help!!!!

You know, if you didnt like the guy, I thought of a song thatr would be funnier than hell. Anyone who has listened to NOFX probably has a very, very good guess about which song this is (its quite topical, or certainly will be after the wedding). However, I will not name it, as I dont want to be banned.

Hey, of all of you that posted songs....do any of you have the mp3's or anything of them? I'd like to hear them. We didn't get out today. We're going to go tomorrow.
