Wedding ring problem

I bought a wedding ring for my soon to be wife a few months ago. The ring has never fit her properly. Her knuckles are larger than her fingers and the ring is top heavy. As a result the ring slides up and down on her finger and rotates all the time.

We took it to a jeweler who ovaled the ring for us, but that did not work. The jeweler then recommended that we get some small rubber tubing to place on the bottom of the ring. She does not like the idea of having to keep something on the ring since she takes it off any time she cleans anything or goes to sleep and it would be a huge hassle to have to fix the tube every time.

Anyone know of any other solutions? This is driving her crazy, so it's driving me crazy. She loves the ring and getting a different one is not an option.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Step 2: Saw off a stranger's (preferably female) finger
Step 3: Attach stranger's finger to fiancee
Step 4: Rinse and repeat until desired size is reached.

try a really tight fit and get it in once, just make her know it's in there for good hehe. or depending on the material (platinum, gold, and grade (higher gold softer it is) it could be pounded from the bottom in order to get a defelction and have like a circle with a line at the bottom

Could have some elastic put in the ring so she can get it over th eknuckle and have it stay in place. Or maybe add a hinge with a clasp so she can just snap it on past the knuckle.

Or fatten her up somehow...

Anyway, you may have to resort to something like a soft spacer... Maybe plastic or something?

I think those are what his jewler recommended which his wife didn't like.

The jeweler could add small balls of gold to the 5 and 7 o'clock positions. These will both act as a counter weight and help prevent slipping.

Maybe you can wait until she gets married and you can solder her wedding band to the engagement ring. This has become more common these days and it results in a more stable ring.

The problem she is having is pretty common because rings aren't designed to be balanced. They are going to slide and if her fingers are skinny, she's going to either have to do the rubber spacer technique, or fatten up her hands somehow.

My wife has had her ring sized once already in a year and may have to get it sized again. It's tough when the girls are young (under 40) and their bodies are changing so frequently....
