Wedding ring metal choices?

I like the look of cobalt and tungsten. I think my wife and I are going to try to find a jeweler who can melt our current rings down to do an inlay.

White Gold is our choice....every few years get it rhodium plated to renew its luster. My ring is made by Benchmark and is a comfort fit band. Find the width you like that feels the best, then shop brands/fits.

We went with Palladium for both, but my wife's diamond prongs kept loosening up.
The jeweler finally recommended we go to white gold, so they swapped it out for free.
I still have my palladium band. It scratches very easily. It is basically a matte finish now because of all of the scratches. I like that look though.

$4.50 for my Titanium ring. I haven't had it very long but it seems like it scratches pretty easily. But for $4.50... I can replace it when I need to.

I had a gold band for many years but I don't really like gold and it cracked where it was resized and started digging into my finger so I put it in a drawer. A few years ago my wife bought me a titanium ring to replace it which I like very much.

I got some tungsten and titanium alloy ring. it's nice because it's hard like tungsten and wont scratch but the Ti makes it weigh less than your typical tungsten ring.

I am going to get a tungsten ring. So, with the money I saved instead of gold, I bought myself a few "engagement" automatic watches (grey market 😉) that will go with my eventual ring.
