Wedding Question

I'm going to my friend's wedding this Sunday and I have a gift. There's a reception after the wedding. I'm not familiar with American (& Christian) wedding customs, so when do I give him the gift? I'm thinking at the reception, but I don't know for sure.

Also, is a black suit (with a white shirt + tie) appropriate attire for a wedding or should I go with something different?

Also, it's an American custom to pat the bride's ass, as well as the bridesmaid's, in the reception line for good luck.

Cheers MagnusTheBrewer! :beer::gift:

While I'm friends with the bride as well, I don't think my buddy will appreciate the gesture.

I'll go for the bridesmaid. :laugh:

There is usually a place to set your gift at the reception. Just leave it there and you will be fine.
Black suit is completely acceptable.

Have fun!!!
