Seriously, everything she registered for at that place is stupid expensive. Which leads me to my probllem and solution

I watched Burn After Reading last night which was the DUMBEST MOVIE EVER and I thought hey, George Clooney + sex ramp = hilarious.

So heres the idea.

I get the large size Liberator Sex Ramp, gift wrapped and bring it to the reception and leave it on the table.

I can just imagine it now......

Me: So....guys. *gestures with thumb* Guess which one is mine! *wink*

Win?

No.

The cheapest item they registered for is $600.

F that.

The most I spend on wedding presents are between $50-100. No that's not being cheap. Expecting people to drop $600 on a wedding gift is just stupid.

Idea #1: Make a donation made in their name to the Human Fund.

Idea #2: William Sonoma gift card in whatever amount your cheap ass can afford. :D

Idea #3: CASH... which is what the Chinese do, and I tend to do it for the WHITE MAN as well... no one has ever complained.

Registries are idea lists, not requirements. Buy them a $100 knife set off Amazon and wish them well. You'll get the same thank you card as though you bought an $800 item and they won't know how much you spent and spend their time judging.

Knife sets work well, though they probably will get more than one.

So you just make sure you get the best quality one so they have to return somebody else's gift. :D

If $600 is truly the least expensive item on their gift registry, they are extremely greedy & tacky. Make a donation in their names to the Salvation Army or another charity that helps those who really need it and will appreciate the gift.

BTW, giving a knife or knives as a wedding gift is supposedly very bad luck.

Fuck it don't get them anything. Gifts at weddings often aren't named, they're not going to know.

Do you really need help deciding whether or not to spend $800 for a random wedding gift?

Go to Williams-Sonoma, buy a spatula or two $10-ish each (they are very nice and yes, will get used), and add this

If they are already familiar with Spatula City, they will appreciate this. If not, you will know when they actually watch the movie. If ever.

most of the stuff they sell at williams sonoma is under 400 I'd say 85% so I'd say the couple is extremely greedy or you are lying
