Website to look up IP addresses?

Is there a website out there where you can enter an IP address to see a poster's location?

i.e. Entering xxx.xx.xx.xxx and seeing "New York, NY" or "Paris, France"?

its this "0-1pool168-53.nas4.philadelphia1.pa.us.da.qwest.ne"

our schools web forum list who it was posted by and it says that. it usially sys IPs

anyone wanna help

philadelphia1.pa.us might be a good indicator that it's in Philly, PA.

Not legally that I know of. Since it appears to be qwest.ne - that would mean Qwest was in charge of it, although I've never heard of .ne (perhaps its .net). You could contact Qwest and reQwest more info on that IP/User, but they probably wouldnt give you anything. They might disable the user if he/she is doing something illegal.

I thought it was blatantly obvious WHY I posted Network-Tools... but here goes.

The IP of what you gave us is: 65.128.168.53 Now I am going to go out on a limb and say it is either a DSL line or Static Dial Up because I am currently able to ping it.
