Does anyone happen to know where I could find some type of chart which displays how different operating systems and browsers show up in web reporting software do you? I have to backwards ghetto engineer web statistics software so that it displays Windows NT 5.1 as Windows XP 5.1 (Home, SP1) respectively for the execs (and, in some ways, my own) limited understanding.
I've been scouring the net for this information because I personally don't know what they all translate to but I've been having a bit of trouble pulling it off.
Specifically needed are how Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP Home, XP Pro, OS9, and OSX show up and how they are translated.
Browsers are less important but I also have a question there. Why will a machine with a stock Windows XP Pro SP2 install using IE6.1 also display Mozilla 4.0 when there are no versions of Mozilla present on the machine?
These are probably pretty stupid questions, but I'm a hardware guy and this is not really my area of expertise, nor do I perform particuarly well gathering data for this area due to my limited understanding of backend programming.
