website of people looking for jobs

like the title says, is there a website where people who are looking for jobs can post their qualifications and anyone can look at them?
 
I don't see this doing any good. Why would employers take the time to seek out candidates? And why would they be interested in hiring someone who doesn't actively seek out jobs, only posts his resume and says "come to papa"?

edit: I guess I sort of take that back. When I was at school, there was this recruiting/job system where you posted your resume, cover letter, various other info and companies would search the database for matches. I ended up getting a couple of interview requests from this. It is something to setup and browse around, and hope it works, but I wouldn't rely on it, especially outside of the university setting.

Any job or job service that advertises "100k jobs" typically they're sleazy sales jobs or something with 100k "potential."

People who are qualified for these sort of jobs know the pay of the job when they see it without a salary estimate. Nowhere do you see a listing for "$$300k Doctor jobs!$$" Same goes for attorney or upper management positions. Cheezy ad = cheezy job.

duh...all of the big job search websites like monster and stuff have sections for employers looking for people. you can even see how many people have viewed your resume.

Actually, the jobs that I saw on there mostly aren't sales, but legitimate 100K+ jobs, and that base.

Just as an example on how baseless your comment was, look here.. Now, do you qualify?
