I am going to be making a personal website (its summer and I'm bored )

anyway I know that I will be using computers (hardware, gaming, etc...) as the topic.

I really like the techfor2k.com ideal.
I do have a question though
how do I go about getting my own .com address? and what are some cheap methods of doing so?

My old, hasn't been updated in like 2 years, page is on Xoom/NBCI.

how about blazehardware.com?

you can get your own domain by registering it as networksolutions.com or register.com or many of the other registerars, then you need a nameserver to point that domian to your server IP

ok thanks, so where would be a good place to store this webpage at. My ISP only gives me 5 megs, and I am currently stuck on dial up so hosting this myself would be impossible

I do not have the cash on me right now to get the domain name. (from reading on those sites it looks like 30 to 40 a year) which isn't bad. Probably will have the money end of the week though.

Anyway where would be a good place/site that will host my page?
