Several years ago, I found - and received - a terrific freebie. It resembled a phonebook but it contained websites that were categorized. Each site listed gave a brief description of it's contents along with links to each site.

Of course, I loaned it out to a friend aThand never saw it again.

Now I am looking for something similar to that type of list that may be available online. And I am hoping someone here might be able to suggest where I may find such a resource as that.(online of course.)

Any suggestions would bbe greatly appreciated.

Funny how when yahoo started out in the 90's the directory dominated their front page. Over the years it get less and less prominent, to the point where you now have to click on the "more services" link on the left sidebar and the click on directory. It brings you to
