Website idea for text messaging

Maybe this exists already but wouldn't a website be cool that would let you send and receive text messages without a phone. I'm cheap and don't feel like paying for them when I have a computer in front of me most of the time.

There is a site that does this. My friend likes to use it to send anomyous text messages to people with it. I don't know what the site is though.

i know verizon has vtext.com/. im not sure if other carriers offer this though.

Yeah but you can't receive them in vtext.

Lots of new phones actually use AIM, MSN, and/or Yahoo for text messages. My phone supports all three.

you can email text messages to Verizon customers...its like phone#@verizon.com or somthing...and if they hit reply youll get it in your inbox
