I have a friend who has a business site. She had it turnkeyed for her a couple years ago. Apparently, the developer has skipped, but it is still being hosted. She'd like to find out who is hosting the site.

How can I do this in W98SE/Communicator?

If tracert, what switch do I use to keep the MS DOS box up?
Thanks for the help.

To be able to view the results of ping/tracert/etc, open a dos prompt first, then work from there instead of using start>run...

To find out the host, the first place to start is finding the numeric IP of the site. This can be done by pinging the domain and feeding the IP to arin whois. You can also do a whois on the domain at internic and find out what dns name servers are being used for the domain, which is often a good hint as to who is hosting the domain or at least involved with and aware of who is hosting it.
